Default ARF Factory Milgauss Z Blue 116400GV

    ARF MZB.jpg

Hello everyone. New here. I have recently become addicted to Rep watches (feels good man). I just had my first 'negative' experience. I'd like to share it with everyone. I have bought a few reps from Trustytime and they have all been very good, and I've had good experiences with Andrew there, he's very responsive.

Today I received my ARF factory Milgauss Z blue 116400GV and as soon as I looked at it in person I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach. The green on the sapphire is an instant give away that the watch is not genuine. This isn't a small detail it jumps right out at you when you look at it from the side. I was so excited to get the watch that when I looked at the QC pictures my brain just didn't pick up on it. I put a side by side with genuine in the photo above so everyone can see what I mean.

The watch casing and bracelet are beautiful, the watch is heavy and feels really great in the hand and on the wrist. The movement is a 2836 and to my eye it's buttery smooth. The hands look great and the watch is beautiful other than the crystal which is a real disappointment.

I am currently looking for a replacement sapphire although being a beginner I'm not sure where the best place to look is, or if it's even possible to get a good replacement crystal.

I decided rather than be discouraged by this predicament to use it as an opportunity to try to learn something about repairing/modding watches.

If anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it. (Sorry if this is wrong place to ask for advice/where to buy things. I will edit and make a separate thread in more appropriate forum if that's the case)

Unfortunatelly there are not very great green crystal to my knowledge, so the only option you have is go franken route and try to score a genuine one.

Djf has green sapphire xtals. Ask your td if he can source you one, idk if they fit though.

Late response to this. I haven't done anything with it. Can't wear it. It's just collecting dust unfortunately. A shame too, the watch is solid and runs great. Wish they didn't sell this with such a glaring flaw. I spent a bit of time researching and had plans to tear this down and try to do something with it then my work schedule went wild.

That's why I went for the regular crystal milgauss.

If I were you I would just sell the watch and buy something else. Your watch is still in great shape, why ruin it? There's demand for it.

Mine was made by Noob and I bought it a while ago thru TD.
You can always buy the latest & greatest from the hottest maker from any TD here.

Get a green sharpie and color in the exposed part of the gasket sides and the top. Plenty of examples should be found by searching
