thank you, boys. the next round:
received my case today. DSN has some real great stuff . nevertheless I'll work a little bit on it. let's see how it works out.
I know that a solid case back isn't a good idea for an angelus but I ordered a plexi-brevettato-see-through case back - I've already sent him an email, although the caseback looks really awesome
also modded a little bit on the letters of the dial, now they are deeper and look a little bit thinner.

just finished the reshape-process of the case. really smooth curves now - I like it much better now.

ok - now the case work is done. got some light vintage look, I think it's just the right amount of dings and scratches...
also got the plexi-caseback from DSN, he is for sure the best and smartest dealer around

allways use david's yahoo-address. normally he responses on the next day. maybe there is some time-difference.

    and yes - it's 47mm.

yes - the case is normally with the closed caseback - you have to tell him that you need the see through caseback too.

received my movement in really nice condition - and with shock-protection . have to get a few things done by my watchsmith and then I'm ready to start assembling this beauty.

(the pics don't do justice to this movement)

    nice!
    keep us posted!
    i'm slowly collecting parts too
intially wanted to use a molnija movement; but ross's dials are too good and deserve much better movements. it's gonna hurt my wallet. :X

unfortunately, i happened to soil the dial with oil on my finger! trying to find a solution now. wanna it make look matte again.

merlin, the movement looks to be in really great shape!

However, I prefer the one with the different shape of the bigger movement bridge...If I understood it correctly, yours is a newer generation of the SF240...

I am looking forward to see your project completed!
