Watch Timing for tablet/phone

I'd be interested myself to know if anyone has used this, particularly from someone who also has the professional kit and has made a comparison of accuracy. The price is a bit steep, but that might come down in time.

Yeah, I found the price a bit much as well. What entices me is that I wouldn't have to have another piece of equipment of significant size sitting out.

I hope they’ve gotten better recently. I’ve used quite a few of these in the past and most were useless. They would either get “no signal” or was completely off. I had some apps tell me it was 0/s.d. When actually wearing it, it was off by about 10sec/day. Ended up just having to do it very patiently. Start the stop watch on my phone at the exact time to the second, come back 24hrs later and see how much time was lost or were added. This takes a few tries but it’s effective.

There’s a few videos on YouTube comparing some apps and a timographer and most were completely off. The only ones that were ok were the ones for your computer that you use a microphone + amplifier to get it to work correctly. There is some free software for it but you have to buy a decent mic and amp. There’s a tutorial on RWI for it along with a link to the software.
