The low power reserve is not right at all. It needs fixing or replacing.

Well then I am back to my prior decision of wanting to move forward with the miyota version...this has been a seesaw for me but I'm very thankful for everyone's input! It has proven very helpful! Plan to pull the trigger this weekend or beginning of next week, will show QC's when available!

I would like to know any experience regarding the tube an crown. This has been one of the most common problems in reps during last years.

I have even avoid to buy pieces with screw down crowns just for that reason.

It is true reps have improved a lot in the last couple of years, but would you have any experience on that matter with the Pelagos or the black bay?

I am also thinking on getting a black pelagos

    Thanks!

I'm so far from being an expert but I have had zero issues with my Pelagos and in fact only one tube/crown problem with an older PO Chrono. These new watches are amazing so just decide and then go for it!

I love my Pelagos with all my heart, but sadly it also suffers from a low reserve. Really, I don't have a clue why they put a tudor-like rotor behind the closed back.
Regarding the markers, it's not so bad without a loupe. I've seen more crooked Rolex emblems on a 114300, another super-rep.

Own 2 bb, and have been pineing for a pelagos for awhile now. So much that I have looking at gens. You'll love them both, or either. 2824 is preferred, not heard of the misaligned markers, nor noticed. They have quite a following as a super rep for a reason

I have the ZF Black Bay with Rose Dial and shield dial. The rose dial has the petal defect on the dial. The shield rep has a very poorly replicated crown. Besides this I am happy with both.

Haha I wish it was because I was carefully shopping that entire time, but honestly I can't purchase a watch until I get that undeniable itch! I have been purchasing vintage Seikos for the last year and repairing minor issues and playing around with my hobby watchmaking skills. Got bored of that and fell back down the rabbit hole of replicas with these stay at home orders!

Good choice on the Pelagos, enjoy it. As for the screw down crown issue, as soon as I get a rep I apply thread grease (purchased from Ofrei) using a toothpick to the unscrewed threads beneath the crown. I've never experienced stripped threads.

This is the link to the exact one that I purchased--> Pelagos XF 1:1 V4 Best Edition Blue dial Blue Bezel on Titanium Bracelet MIYOTA 9015 to Cal (Free Rubber Strap) - InTimeWatch

Can't wait for them to arrive! Anyone order recently and have an idea on what to expect for a delay due to COVID?

I have not experienced or heard of the issues with screw down crowns, so I appreciate the insight on this! My only rep currently is a Noob Yachtmaster. It is 3 years old and still works and looks perfect!

Well the Pelagos finally arrived yesterday, and I cannot be happier with it! Anyone that has been on the fence about getting this rep I would highly recommend pulling the trigger! And as always Ryan at InTime did a fantastic job through the entire process!
