When we last left off I had decided to go with an econo hulk and allow the factories to get it right.
When I started this thread it was a competition between the V8, the GMF and the ARF.
Well before I even saw any V8 pictures posted, all of a sudden thereís a V9, or is it a V8S or ďitís the same thing, whatever you want to call itĒ, there was the V9 first batch, there was the V9 second batch, and then we had the ďreturn of the V8Ē
Whatever it was, it was late.
To be honest, the GMF fell out of the race pretty early and even though the VRF Max hulk should have been on the list, it became a two horse race.
Iíve bought, owned and sold a lot of watches and I can tell you Iíve never researched a watch as much as this one.
Iíve read hundreds of posts, asked TDís for their opinion and seen tons of pictures before I pulled the trigger on this purchase.
When it comes to pictures, thatís a tough one.
The hulk is an angle watch. It will change appearance with the flick of a wrist.
But when it came to a decision I think it was important to not so much look at the pictures as it did to look in a mirror.
There are differences here whether they are price, accuracy of different components (there were several factors here) movement and for me whether I wanted out of the box or mod capability.
The reflection I got in that mirror told me Iím not a mod guy.
I believe the Noob is the best Hulk overall but Iím disappointed by the timeline and the inconsistency Iíve seen and read about.
    I went with the ARF.
    It came today.
Iím hesitant about posting pictures because Iím very happy with it.
Reps have come a long way since Iíve joined this hobby.
We had QC drawings back then!
Iíll post about the unboxing process later on and maybe Iíll post a couple of pictures.
    Cheers!
    The unboxing.
    Nicely packed.
But the thing I have to mention is that ARF must really love their bracelet.
It literally took me 4 times longer to remove the protective plastic on the watch and in particular, the bracelet than it took me to size it.
It reminded me of an Arizona sandstorm. In 5 minutes it passes and for 5 hours youíre still wiping sand out of nooks and crannies that you didnít even know about.

These were pictures with most of the plastic still on.
Please be nice. If you are concerned with minor imperfections, please buy a genuine.
These are replicas and they’ve come a long way since I found this hobby.
    Here are the first two.
