Default Difference between the SA3135 and SH3135?

I've been looking at both of these movts. I was told you can not swap an ETA 2836 for the 3135 movt because of the shape of the case. Something to do with the shape of the crown guards I believe. Then I saw a post of a guy selling a kit with all the parts needed to swap a SA3135 for an ETA 2824-2. So there must be a difference in the SA and SH versions.
What is it? Or, is it possible to purchase a Noob 7 with an ETA 2836 and swap to a SH or SA 3135?
    Thanks

you can swap a 3135 for a 2824. you cant go the other way without some modifications on the noobs.

its related to the crown position on the 2836 cases. different crown heights for the 2 movements.

SA3135- Just not a great option, not reliable, no replacement parts available, no gen parts fit to my knowledge
SH3135- Similar to "Yuki" movements, takes gen parts. You should service from the get go for optimal performance. They work just like gen (clockwise to set time) which is really cool! Definitely the better of the 2 movements.

If cost is your deciding factor, I would stick to the A2824/36

How different is the crown height do you know? Are we talking fraction of a mm or several mms? I have never noticed on my reps

Check in my section, link below.

A3135 is just a decorated 2836-2 movement. There are two versions of the SA3135, the earlier being the poorest having a very thin stem, then there's the SH3135, again, there are two versions of these now.

I need to update my thread in my section but been so busy not had time.

What mods need to be done to make this happen? Is it even worth it to do the mods, or would it be better to just purchase one that already has an SH3135?

if you want to install a 2824-2 into a Rolex that used to have a SA3135 / SH3135 movement, then you will need:
    1. 2824-2 movement (with H4 wheels/pinion preferably for clearing the indices, unless you managed to source proper hands liek Noob V7 ETA 2836-2 sub hands that have elongated posts)
    2. ETA hands (can be extremely rare and hard to source - e.g. 214270 long hands in ETA form are impossible to find - not even my TDs can source them separately)
    3. movement ring
    4. ETA stem (comes with movement typically)
    5. DWO (datewheel overlay)
    6. dial spacer
    7. new dial feet (to relocate the dial feet for ETA movement position)

Or, maybe try your luck with the SH3135 movement and have it serviced (before using it). Some parts need to be swapped out as well IMO, like the reverse wheels (as mine tends to disintegrate)

    you cant swap a 2824 for a 3135, you can swap a 3135 for a 2824.

if you want a 3135 movement, get one that comes with it or is made for it like the TC

So that means if you want to Franken a full gold sub you have no real options to put gen 3135 or sh3135 because I think all of the rep gold wrapped subs come in Swiss 2826... unless you go highly modded with dual spacer etc? Is my understanding correct?

2836 cases are not suitable for the 3135 movements.
