Default Monaco Superyacht Show(with Pics) UPDATED

Ok so on Wednesday the Monaco Superyacht Show starts on and we arrived today and anchored up so we can go into port tomorrow and get ready.

I will post as many pics as I can of whats around, last year their was a watch auction with some very nice pieces.... big security guards may try and stop me taking pics though! Of course some serious yachts and water sports toys should be around too.

On a side note... my camera has a smashed screen so I am shooting blind... apologies for any off pics!!

So this evening I shot off on the tender to do some food shopping with some crew members in a tiny port next door to Monaco.... heres some pics of what was on route.

In the forground is Mirabella V the largest single masted yacht in the world, in the background is the beautiful Maltese Falcon, the largest sailing yacht in the world!

One for the F1 fans, the blue hulled expedition yacht is owned by Flavio Briatore owner of the Beneton Team.

View of Monaco over the harbour wall.

    Random shot behind the tender.

Monaco Maritime Museum, the palace is just behind this great looking building.

Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe... go check out the list price on this bad boy!

Just nipping out for some milk

My local used car dealership looks nothing like this! (it does really ;-) )

    Heading into Port

    Boaty

    Pointing the right direction

    More boaties

    Ugly ass cruise ship

    Who's driving this thing?

The famous tunnel from the F1 races and the Casino.

See what happens when no one is driving and I have a bash at it!

Lady Moura, a permanent fixture in port... unless there is a big party in St Tropez or Cannes.

    Baton Rouge

    Guess what... more boats.

    Nero

This is something i arranged for Rek001... a wally sailing yacht and a Wallypower tender.

Misc boats... but whats that coming down the mast?

    Correct!!! A crazy ass mofo!

Moored up.... not long until this is full.

    Come back soon for more.....

this Nero is a beauty !
But I found this which ruined my hopes :
"Her rate starts at 525 000 $ and tops at 560 000 $ per week, making her one of the most expensive yacht on the market."
I will have to sell my flat to get one week in it

Just seen that Ulysees Nardin are a key sponsor of teh show again so there will be a watch display somewhere.... just need to engineer myself some time while its open to go looksee!

DocDoc.... my last boat, a 60meter motoryacht was 340,000euros a week, plus all expense... food, fuel, dockage, drink, hookers etc etc

plus tip... usually 5-10% to split between 15crew... those were the rock n roll days!

Nice, actually Lady Moura permanent place is in Antibes, Cote d'Azur where Mr Abramovich lives. He "lost" the yacht due divorce fights but his former wife the actual owner does not have place for it in Monaco, 'cos she can't get a residence in the Princepaute de Monaco. You can see Lady Moura today in Monaco and tomorrow in St Peterburg, Helsinki, Copenhagen, ...you named, they sail a lot...Monaco is fun but not for my taste, I enjoy more other places in the french Riviera. Have fun there.

Trust me... 300 days of the year Lady Moura is in her berth ("her berth" as in the owner owns it) in Monaco. She is owned by Nasser Al-Rashid and has been since launch.

Roman Abramovich has a number of yachts, including the recently launched and largest in private yacht in the world "Eclipse". Some of his past yachts, some of which he still owns include Ecstasea, Perlourus, Le Grand Bleu, Sussuro. I think he keeps Perlourus in Antibes... oh and he has a brand new expedition yacht that just launched, forget the name.

Anyway.... more pics to come of tonight or tomorrow.... working hard and playing harder right now ;-)
