Well the show is officially over... will try and upload a video of the "end" of teh show... always impressive to witness (hear).

Here are a few more snaps....

No watch auction this year, but UN sponsored the show and had a stand, apologies for these two poor shots, all I could do before security moved me on! Serves me right for wearing my DSSD!

    Another WallyPower tender

The main stands for the big yacht builders... and a pair of yachties!

    More yachties.

If you have to ask how much......

Those who have never been may expect monaco to be pretty... it isnt! There are some really nice building but most are 1950's tower blocks and horrific. Here is an example of the type of thing the Yanks try to emulate.

For the F1 fans, this is the hill the cars go up after the first bend of the lap and head up to the casino.

Monaco Casino. F1 cars come between the casino and the hotel on the right (Hotel de Paris... home of 3* restaurant Louis XV)

F1 cars after passing the casio (directly to the right of where I am) head down the hill to the first chicane, then the "famous" chicane you will know, before heading into "the tunnel".

If you dont have an F1 car, try this.

    Or this....

    or.... this.

or if you dont feel like driving, have your chauffeur drive you in this!

Must be soooo embarrassed to have an old Ferrari!

A little statue paying tribute to the principality racing history (end of teh start finish straight).

With all the yachts in port you could be forgiven for thinking that there werent too many left out there.......

Rear view of the casino from above "the tunnel".

When jet ski's become boring.... get a submarine!

The famous Hotel de Paris... and Restaurant Louis XV

    Big sailers.

How to differentiate your yacht when stern too.... add a waterfall!!!

    A wee bit busy.

Right we are literally pulling the gangway in as I type... so time to get a few last snaps before we head to the sh1t hole that is Gibraltar and then Germany for the winter.... no more glitz and glamour for a while!!!

    A few more snaps tomorrow.

On a serious note, its not all glitz and glamour this yachting business... http://www.dockwalk.com/Essentials/News.aspx?id=34396

Our watch-keepers heard the events unfold but we were 10miles away having left port an hour before. Sad times.

Aww yeah, Monaco. Its always fun to see these yacht approaching wondering what cruise just docked and realize that is just some uber rich dude on vacation. It would be fun to throw a party on one of these things. On the other hand, sometimes you get only that nice glitter but beneath the surface it is a rotting apple. Check this.

Become a politician, make lots of mistakes, get all the key decisions wrong, then retire and write your memoirs, spreading gossip about everyone you worked with. You will then be able to charge extraordinary amounts of money to make hideously boring after dinner speeches, and become very rich.
