Default Help me to improve my 1680?

I have had this red sub in my drawer for some years. I believe it came from na piak in bangkok (mbk) and cost me a pretty penny.

After comparing it with reference photos. Some flaws became very apparent to me.

    List of flaws i identified:

    1. Cyclops magnification is insufficient. As such i am considering changing the crystal with the cyclops to a gen or better aftermarket maker.

    2. Bezel scalloping is too narrow or shallow. The pearl also looks wrong as it does not have a metal surround as per pic. As such i am considering changing the bezel and insert and pearl to a better one if it is possible.

    3. Crownguard looks a tiny bit fatter. But i can live with this flaw.

    4. Rectangular dial markers look slightly fatter. But i think i can live with it

My next question is how can i source parts needed to mod and improve this watch. Especially the bezel, understand it may not be easy to fit one factory bezels to another factorys case?

Depending on the risks associated with this mod i may get my local watch guy to do it. Or may try to do it myself.

Looks good. Can u shoot a few more pics?

    I’d get a clarks 25-127 plexi.

For the bezel/ insert get slays kissing 40 insert. I wouldn’t change the bezel if it’s tight, doesn’t look that bad but if u wanna change that, get a Vietnam bezel assembly.

    Crownguards seem fine too.

For the dial i‘d get a new one from vietnam too.

    Cheers

Try nostalgia2000 at the bay for the plexi.

I‘d try to contact user Yodog for a bezel assembly. Mostly he has some in stock.

Ordered bezel insert from yodog. May i know where can i find a slays kissing 40 insert?

Also for dial, i noticed the vietnam dials at yukis website are designed for gen or clone gen movements?

Get a dial from ruby. They’re nearly the same as yukis but much better quality when it comes to print etc.

You need to cut the dial feet on both and make the dial fit with dialdots.

Just shoot them a mail, as prices differ.
They normally get back to you within a few hours.

Okay, managed to get in touch. A ruby dial will be on my way...

Tried to install yodog bezel but found that it doesnt fit (or i dont know how to install). The underside of the bezel looks different - see pic.

Yodogs bezel is on the right and does not have a groove. It also looks like it is made lf 2 parts so maybe the groove is blocked by a removable part that i dont know how to remove.

    Can anyone advise.

Can anyone advise how to remove or change the plexi crystal or direct me to a online source please.

Finally i took a pic of movement. Anyone know what movement is it?
