Default Trusty Time Store additional charges added on after paying, Is this normal?

I ordered a watch from Trusty Time yesterday, my check out price total was $183, so I confirmed the purchase paying by credit card. The next screen that pops up says something along the lines of "there may be additional charges because of currency rates and bank charges"

The total charged to my card was $207, so I incurred $24 bucks or 13% in extra charges. Granted this was a pretty low priced order I like to know these kinds of things before I confirm a purchase.

So my question is, Is this typical behavior of all online stores or just to Trusty?

It's typical behavior of credit card processors, not the TDs. Trusty nor any of the TDs own/control them. Please ask Trustytime about the charge.

nothing to talk about with the TD, this is either the cost for using your creditcard or bank,,,,Andrew has no say in that and won't refund as it is your cc or bank that is charging it.

When I spoke to him he told me there are two options of which you can pay.

One is punching in your card # and you will be subject to these fees, the second option uses a Paypal "gate" of which you wont be charged these fees.

Me being in a hurry like always, I of course chose the first and more expensive option.

So its not his or their fault.

Just a heads up to anyone about to order, to use the Paypal Gate option (I believe it is "Option 2") on the website

It's either unintentional or a foreign transaction fee? I've had pretty good experiences with Andrew.
