Which pair do you wear when you ride your bicycle in Amsterdam when you take your PAM's for a bike ride?

Size 44 shoes go very well with a 44 mm PAM on a strap that matches the size 44 shoe you are wearing.

You just gave me an awesome idea, I have an absolute awesome ridgeback crocodile pair of shoes that I paid over $$$ over 10 years ago that I don't wear anymore. These would make some great strap for my PAM and maybe other watches also.

They are pretty trippy looking, trippy feeling and without regular cleaning they're also trippy smelling! (that's why I have so many... change 'em like socks and always have a clean pair ready to go)

In February I will have been in VFFs for a full year; the only times I have had normal footwear on since last Feb. have been to mow the lawn, shovel snow, and one funeral. My feet feel *awesome*.

Seems like it would be a great work out too. Modern shoes prevent allot of the motion of our bodies that bare feet do. Constant little adjustments. Or is that incorrect ?

I believe you are correct, sir, on all points. : D

It took me about 6-8 months to learn how to walk on my bare feet before I got back up to shoe-speed. My posture when walking is better, my balance is better, my toes seem to be a little less crooked and every step I take is one of the best steps I've ever taken.

Everywhere I go, I have to explain them to someone (diversionay tactic to keep eyes off of my watches ) - I get all manner of reactions from them.

People often tell me "They look so WEIRD!" and I tell them "I know, right? kind of like a human foot... imagine that."

I think these have been around since 2005 or so... I discovered them last Feb, as I mentioned. I tried them on at the store on a whim and after pacing around for two minutes I paid for them and wore them home. I bought another pair 2 weeks later and that's how it started for me. It was an experiment at first, but now it's the only way.

These do not provide the same level of protection our regular shoes do - I have had some nasty toe scrapes, two good impacts (kicked hidden objects in mid stride), and one "grippy rubber toe vs. escalator wall" near miss. They are certainly not made with cold weather in mind. You get wet and cold and there is a serious risk of frostbite if you get carried away, and getting carried away is easy. I have one pair made with neoprene uppers which work like a wetsuit, and I wear those ones in wet/cold conditions with moderate success - you don't want to stand still on cold concrete for any amount of time - only a few mm thickness under your sole so they will cool off fast. Bus stops can be tough on winter days.

I am not (yet) a runner.
