I really like the look of this watch. Can you tell us more about how similar the function is to original? Does the power reserve and time zone function work?

Hey @SmokinAl We wore this one today for a wristie shot just for you! haha, over here Mr. TimeZone Daily Wristies

This one is pretty nice, most importantly this latest release from ZF has pretty much the same case size as gen...39mm x 11.5mm. This is pretty important as the previous release from the other factories used the same old Asian 23J movement found in most similar dual time models....which was quite a bid larger and thicker, really spoiling the whole point of this watch...semi-casual, semi-dress from JLC, perfectly sized at 39mm. The older version was almost 44mm!

    Still very nice:

    But can't compare to this!

And check out the movement! - comparison to gen! - at the bottom in case some get confused haha jokes

And no, this isn't just any Miyota 9015 with a plate, the actual movement is finished and engraved!

Moving on to the real breakthrough point of this latest model, are the subdials are now spaced much closer to the gen...
Before we get too carried away...sadly it is still a bit off from the gen, and while the 10 O'Clock crown changes the timezone disc at the bottom, it does not function like the gen and automatically change the hour hand...we're still maybe 1-2 year off that I'd say...

But still, it works flawlessly as a dual time zone watch:
Pulling the crown and winding counter clockwise changes both time zones, while clockwise changes the minute hands on both dials, but the hour hand at 6 remains stationary.
The pusher at 2 advances the date, the smaller sub-sub dial near the 6 subdial is functional and power reserve fully functional...we've found typically at the 40+ hour mark...perfectly matching the dial! How funny!

Will be real interesting to see whether ZF or other factories start utilizing this movement to upgrade other watches which have traditionally used the JLC 929 dual time movement such as the AP Royal Oak Dual Time or the VC Overseas Dual Time. Both currently available, but still only using the older Asian 23J movement.

Anyway, thanks for tuning in folks! Enjoy!

I bet a good measure at least for popularity would be to ask the TDs which were their top 3 sales. Noob received a ton of accolades from the forums. If price creep has to happen, I sure hope it means the quality is the reason.
