True ... for now. ;)

Once the addiction sets in and you have 100 reps worth the cost of the gen, she might not be too pleased.

Enjoy, you picked a winner.

I'm waiting for QC photos for the T3 I ordered, it's the same as yours with the gray face.

Other than some really subtle differences in the subdial font and maybe the quality of engraving on the case back, it is a dead ringer for the gen. Even with rep and gen photos side by side it is hard to find differences.

As far as size goes I think it is the same as the gen at 47mm. This version is advertised as "1:1". There were some earlier, cheaper versions that may have been a little smaller. The larger dimensions that are mentioned and seem somewhat variable, are related to how the watch is measured including the crown and pusher guards.

The silence says much about the watch ;)

Well, let's see:
- Caseback is upside down, same as the RBII, no idea why it's like that (Note: I've seen gens with a CB similar to this rep, so I don't really know as there seems to be variation)...
- Sub dials are too far from numbers
- DW (ofcourse) is not as recessed as gen...

That's as far as my eyes can spot...
I do have to say this is a GORGEOUS AP, and if my wrists weren't 6.25" I would've gotten this one a while ago...

Wozzzaaa enjoy your watch and wear it in good health :)

We'll theese flaws make it closer to gen than most AP reps then.
Maybe in the sam category as the Survivor who's biggest tell is the DW/tachy metre lines.

But then again you have to know your AP's quite well to know the difference and on the wrist no one can tell! :)

biggest tell is the crystal, gen has a domed crystal

Ok it has been sent to Francicso, now Iam waiting very nervously hoping that customs don't sieze it.

Hey, has anybody waterproofed their AP ROO Rep successfully? Francisco says he doesn't have much confidence in waterproofing this rep, iam curious if anybody has done this?

I wont be going swimming with it, but hopefully it will offer a better level of day to day water resistance then how it came from the rep factory.

I've had the rep for about a week now. Here are my observations regarding discrepancies with the gen:

1. Hour numbers and the marker at 6:00 are a little too thin.
2. Tachymetre font is a little too big.
3. Subdial font a little too big and too thin.
3. Orange segment at the tip of the big (chronograph) second hand is a little too short.
4. Tips of the chrono buttons are a little too flat.

On the other hand,

1. The crystal is not flat - it is definitely domed although I'm not sure if to the same degree as the gen. I assume the gen crystal reflects less light too... even though absent on the gen, I think the T3 would benefit from a light AR coating on the dial side.

2. The replication of the titanium case as well as the crown, crown guard, and chrono pusher guards is phenomenal. I see no differences compared to the gen. The overall case measurements are 57mm x 63mm which is 1:1 to the gen. If you see smaller dimensions on the dealer site, they are wrong or the measurements don't span the full width and length of the watch. The titanium is very nicely finished too.

3. Unlike the Survivor and a lot of other AP ROO reps, the date window is not noticeably out of place, thanks to the larger dial.

Kudos to the factory, they did a great job with this rep. I would certainly consider it a super or ultimate rep. The discrepancies from the gen are only apparent when comparing the rep to magnified photos of the gen.

Can you measure the case diameter, not the width at the most extreme points?

Sure, from where to where exactly ?

From the side opposite the crown to the base of the crown itself. Cheers man. :)
